Both of my hybrids are steel. 1990 Trek 750 with TT lugged steel, and a 1993 Specialized Crossroads. The 750 was a framset build and the Crossroads I upgraded to 9 speed w/ XT and LX components.
Are those standard drop bar brake levers over linear-pull brakes on the Trek?
I was starting to think I'm weird for having no problems with that setup.
