I find that LBS are hurting and if you are nice about it you can get a discount on just about anything.

My LBS mounted the cleats and check out my position on my bike. The (free) quick fitting service was worth a few dollars and something you can't get on the internet/mail order. Not sure if they would of given me that level of service if was at the store when it is busy but I made a point of going during a weekday.
