Given the compatability problems, it honestly makes me wonder why anyone buys Campy crank parts at all. There's other stuff out there that's just as light and just as strong and costs much, MUCH less.
OP might be able to lightly dress the chainring tooth points with a Dremel or somesuch to remove the 'hook.' I've done that once on a T.A. 47-tooth chainring that had Crom knows how many miles on it before I got it, I've put about 3500 miles on it since and have had no trouble at all.
