Say that raccoon eats a hole in one of your bike shoes and you stop at a LBS and yes they have the same model/size of shoe, but you have to buy two...seems silly to me.
vik, don't you get the difference between a pair of panniers and a pair of shoes?... shoes = one left, one right... panniers = two identical...
