Bikes: Chesini X-Uno, etc.....

If you are looking for bike porn in a magazine format, I believe there are are a few Japanese publications that cover the classic and vintage areas. There are a lot of collectors over there. The photos are nice, but I like to be able to read the captions and articles too.

We have a Before & After thread here in C&V, and all types of threads with tips about cleaning all the different parts. Any info needed can be found on the www. A magazine isn't likely going to happen because there aren't enough advertising dollars out there to support the effort. There just isn't a large enough bike restoration audience to target. For metal, alloy, plastic, leather etc., all of the info needed is already in the car restoration magazines anyways. I've been to some auto parts swap meets, and some of those guys do nice restoration work on bikes they are selling.

In any case, we here are generally a bunch of cheapskates and commonly use the least expensive effective products for cleaning etc. Steel wool, WD-40, oxalic acid, Simple Green, Simichrome, Nevr-Dull, car wax, etc. and some basic cleaning products found in dollar stores or x-marts are what most of us use regularly. Buffing wheels are high end for this group.
