Bikes: 1965 Hetchin's, 1977 Galmozzi, 1956 Rochet, 1947 Gnome et Rhone, 1972 De Rosa, 1948 Bates B-A-R, 1989 Trevor Jarvis (Baines) "Flying Gate", etc.

Who made a tall mixte, back in the day?

I'm planning my next project bike, and I want to base it upon a mixte frame from the '50s through the early-'70s (no later). I'd prefer something non-Asian, not too exotic (no Bulgarian-threaded BBs, please!), and it has to be lugged steel.

I know that Raleigh made mixtes in the sixties (and probably at other times that didn't rhyme), as did Peugeot and Motobecane -- the latter two seem to be the most commonly available -- but I'm hoping that some of you might have suggestions for other mixte-makers that I could consider.

The challenge is to find a mixte frame that will fit my frame; I'm 6'3". I've never seen a French mixte frame that was taller than 55cm, and I'd prefer something closer to 60cm. That (possibly) leaves Raleigh, and...?
