This weekend I bought a Felt 60 which has a triple chain ring and an Ultegra 10 speed. My current ride is a triple with an Ultegra 9 speed. With the nine speed, I don't get crosschain noise at all in the middle chain ring, and don't hear it in about two thirds of the upper (for the big chain ring) and two thirds of the lower (for the small chain ring). With the ten speed, I hear it at either ends of the middle chain ring, and at about the one half point for the lower, and one half for the upper. Is this a nature of the 10 speed beast, or can the LBS dial it in better?
