This happened to me once while experimenting with different fenders on an MTB and it was less than amusing.
I bet the measure of amusement depends on whether you're the one going OTB or if you're just watching it happen.

Get better riding gear. I rode all week - morning commute temps from the high 20's to the low 30's (Fahrenheit). I typically arrive at work and spend the next 60 seconds stripping off layers to cool down.
