I'm going to have a three week hole in base training in December (honeymoon in New Zealand and the wife is pretty strong about "vacation, honeymoon, not so much training" and how or why argue?) but your plan will still fly. Try to negotiate for 30 min runs 3 times per week. That's generally enough to maintain your fitness level and can generally be done at a time that won't piss off the wife. Enjoy NZ!
