I was never close enough to anyone to notice any drafting, we may have been doing something different, but I was in the middle of the group all by myself. Course was Ironman Germany.
*I'm supposed to get a bunch of sessions free as part of the training package, but their system is effed and is charging people. Not a big deal since I'll probably use up all the freebies. I'm not a fan of the rollers we have at home, and buying a cheap trainer seems like a waste... but we don't have $$ to get a good one. So, my plan is to go once a week to the open spin. Once we're not so broke I think we're going to look for a used C'trainer or a Tacx, which we've found for around the same price as a new fluid trainer.
Since the "Snowpocalypse" happened this morning (meh. 4" is more like a "dusting") and the roads have been salted, the road bike wont be going back outside until the first heavy rain in spring.
I did see it. IMO 10 bucks is a reasonable charge for 90 minutes on the computrainer. The 25 bucks I was charged seems a bit high.
Too bad you couldn't draft the other folks riding, that was half of the fun of my session, working together and taking turns at the front.
I think the place I went to does give a discount if you sign up for a bunch of rides, but it's still like 20 bucks/session so I don't think I am going to sign up. I don't mind riding the rollers when the weather prevents real riding.
So what was your final w/kg?? I was kinda happy mine was 2.5 as my teammates were both 2.3....although I suspect for a 90 minute ride 2.5 w/kg is nothing spectacular.
