Pretty sure in most states bikes are considered "vehicles" and required to follow all of the same laws as autos. We ride on the right (or left in the "backwards" countries ( jk), obey speed limits, which isn't hard most of the time, traffic signal, one way streets, etc. That being said, I'm not stopping at a stop sign if it's clear. I do slow and make sure I'm not going to get creamed. On regular road with signals I stop just as cars do and even using the left turn lane for left turns, use hand signals, etc. In short, if other cars are around I act the way I expect them to act. On quite side streets I do what's practical.
