we did that too. I made 2 1/2 lengths when I was 20. That was the last year I swam. Since then no real swimming until last month. That is exactly why swimming is not as painful now as it was a month ago. It just took a few times back at it to regain form and rhythm. Now just working on swimming 1 1/2 miles without resting and no flip turns (I did some of those this summer in my pool when my wife did not believe that I used to swim)
