Nitto Noodles vs Grand Bois Maes vs Vintage Equivalents?

I have the Nitto Noodle handlebars on one of my bikes and have been wondering about vintage equivalents. Are the Noodles a modern invention, or are they based on a classic bend that can be found in older models?

What I like specifically about the Noodles are the long, flat ramps, that can be set up so that the ramp forms a continuous line with the aero brake hood without sloping downward or placing my hands at weird angles. No vintage drop bar I have tried thus far seems to have such an anatomy.

The description and pictures of the new Grand Bois Maes handlebars suggest a similar styling of the ramps, and they are supposed to be modeled on classic Maes bars. Yet I have tried actual vintage bars that were described as Maes and again, they did not have the same style of ramps.

What are your thoughts?
