Light recommendations..... (current light: PT EOS)

So I currently have the Princeton Tec EOS light, which is, from what I understand, a pretty good light. I've only done a couple of "night" rides with it as a solo light and wasn't all that pleased with it's performance. It works, but I feel like it could be better.

Looking at my schedule for next semester (depending on how this Cal 3 final goes...) It looks like I'll have night classes monday-thursday. I currently only ride on days I don't have night classes. I don't want to stop riding 4 days a week.

I'd like to stick to a AA type light (no rechargeable lumps) so is there any other light that can beat it? I could justify up to about 100 bucks for a good light. Especially considering my motorcycle battery looks like it's nearly dead....
