Of note: My oldest brother, who lives in Indianapolis, was hit from behind while riding his bike and was severely and permanently injured as a result. This happened in November of 2006. He is in an assisted living facility and will be for the rest of his life because of his injuries. The girl who hit him was speeding and talking on her cell phone. Let this be a lesson to all of us about using a cell phone while driving and the danger it poses to cyclists.

We have some new sidewalks in the neighborhood and some roads connecting to other subdivisions so that gives me a variety, which I definitely need!
We Austinites will be getting some new bike paths around town, too - hopefully some will be conveniently located for you.
