I have talked with the Renovo folks a number of times at bike shows in Seattle and Oregon. Would love to own one. Met an owner on a ferry last summer and had a nice chat - he loves it.

As for wood, yeah, it's super-fragile. A well-placed cannonball will go right through it. Given my massive wattage, I'd be really worried about breaking it.
