I figured do it now, before it's too late. This is also the last bike I'll probably be buying to keep and I just felt do it right. I sold the De Rosa to do it, I made my sacrifice to appease the bicycle Gods. I figure at some point I'll probably cut down to the Marnati and the Koga-Miyata...maybe also the Lemond and Sachs. I'm sure the Merckx can fund a few sets of ballet shoes.
