It used to be a lot lighter heh, but now with mornings and nights being so cold, I have to bring extra clothes or I'll freeze. Summers I can get away with way less though. I'll have to remember that and try not to haul so much.

EDIT: Just wanted to add that nothing horrible has happened to me for using one pannier. Obviously bikes/racks/panniers are different though, so be careful the first few times.
