Sorry if you're taking it as an attack. I'm just saying that people have a tendency to brag and exaggerate about money. When something doesn't make sense, or when it sounds too good to be true, there's a decent chance it isn't kosher. I find it unlikely that he's selling scores of fixied EF Schwinns for $300. I bartended for several years in my younger days and servers used to tell me they made $300 a night...yet somehow they never had money for dinner. People lie and exaggerate about money to make themselves feel better.
