Maybe you could start teaching classes?

Never too old to learn. My MIL wanted to learn welding, she is 68 years old, gave her my welding helmet, gloves and the book. I showed her the basics on our old buzz box welder, she could pull a better bead than I can by the end of the day. BTW I lay no claims to being a welder, just able to stick two pieces of metal together so they won't come back apart.

I wouldn't even call it Murphy's Law, I think of it more as a necessity to learn how things work and at least the basics of repairs. Otherwise you are at the mercy of someone else....now about the brain surgery you need...
