a cheapo job often turns out bad (not always, but often). but if you find someone that has the experience and skill, a powdercoat can look as nice as wet paint w/ the added bonus of being way more durable and more environmentally friendly. there's a guy in my area that does excellent, excellent work and charges $200 for stripping, powder, clearcoat, and frame-prep. the end result is immaculate. I could get a $75 deal and end up with orange-peel imperfections and cracks in the surface...
