Well, actually, I lied -- I went from a Stamped 16T to a Dura-Ace 16T to EAI 17T -- To explain the differences...

My stamped cog was a little warped and out of true, and I am super nitpicky about these things, so I got the DA cog for 15 dollars. It was fine, but it was loud as crap, even with high viscosity chain lube. The EAI cog was the quietest, I can't hear it at all when I'm riding. Bear in mind that this is keeping everything constant, I used both an SRAM PC-7X chain and a SRAM PC-1 chain with all of these. And this is the EAI Deluxe, I think I paid 30 for it?

It's half of what it's designed for. It's not any different than using a box wrench, the jaws don't seem that thin.
