I just got one of the Swiss army volcano cookers and ditched the large aluminum bottle and the retaining wire. This makes it lighter and stores smaller. I just use the cup for heating water, it fits right in the top just like the bottle does (as shown on your link). The bottom of the cup gets sooted, but it stays in the stove when stored so there's no soot problems. With wood it takes about 10 minutes to boil 2 cups of water and I also bring along esbit fuel in case everything is wet.

I use it for backpacking trips where I prepare freezer bag meals ahead of time. For bike touring I use a regular cooking pot and a super cat alcohol stove. Heet brand alcohol is widely available where I tour.
