It's not too much if you're competing. I was running about 1,200 rounds a month through my Springfield at the height of my game, and did that for several years. I lost count at around 70,000. All lead SWC's, though - no jacketed. That gun is my favorite, and it would be my first choice for ventilating zombie craniums. It all comes down to what you're used to, I suppose.
