I've had plenty of crashes but only one head impact on a bike but I'll stick with my helmet. In a hard impact it can make the difference between concussion and skull fracture.
I'm not anti helmet, in fact I wear a helmet for some rides. I just don't find the riding styles that comprise 95% of my rides to be dangerous enough to warrant helmet use.
Last helmeted ride was a mountain bike ride on Trail 100 in Phoenix just over a week ago.
