Why would you spend $300 before, and more tomorrow on a Varsity? Those bikes are low end bikes that sell for about $224 (which I think is too high for those). Someone should have stopped you when they knew the expenses would go above $150. For the $300 plus whatever else your going to spend you could have gotten a decent bike for around $500 which sounds like your going to spend at least that much. Bikes Direct at http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/road_bikes.htm have a whole slew of bikes for under $500 and they include shipping for free. You have a bike that's nickel and diming you to death. It's like a car, eventually your dumping money into a money pit and it's time to get a newer car. Your bike is there. Sorry for the downer man, but it just doesn't seem rational to me. Maybe someone else here will make a strong point against me and you'll just laugh my silliness off.
