think of it as a machine shop that needs to schedule runs of parts, and you'll understand where the delays come from.
I work for a large scale manufacturer and have experience in production smoothing and machining. I dont think Chis King offers enough parts to warrant this kind of delay unless their sales are through the roof.
My guess is that days and days worth of stock parts are being produced in front of my sold part.
