First rainy (and above freezing) commute in December. The pedestrian overpass was completely iced over and the studded tires were essential for that. I met a pedestrian at the top. He was impressed with my riding skills coming up the overpass but warned me about the ice on the way down (since it is not straight down, but turns as it goes down) and told me that I could walk along the side where there was some snow left, but I showed him my studded tires and told him I would be careful.
Edit: and now it's snowing again...
