Can't speak to that specific tire, but I've found that some tires make better training tires than others. You might not have to worry about being stranded, but some tires throw rubber all over the place or roll really bad, so you might be better off with something else. For $5, you have nothing to lose, but I wouldn't buy a stack of them unless you know you'll like them.
