The crank brothers cleats definitely can be adjusted. If it has been installed on the pedal for a while, you may need to knock the cleat forcefully, as the bottom of the cleat is textured and digs into the softer compound of the shoe, and needs a little help getting dislodged.

If you are now just installing the cleats, make sure you have the plate that goes between the bolts and the cleat, this will allow you to angle the cleat from side to side. If you are new to clipless pedals or Crank Bros pedals, they've got an instructional video:
