I'm going to be putting on a couple of new Continental Ultra Gatorskin tires for a friend. When putting them on my wheels, the sidewalls were very stiff. It was difficult to force the last little bit over the edge of the rim. Would it be safe and acceptable to put a very light coating of talcum powder or WD-40 on the edge of the rim to make this easier?
