Not really sure the question has been answered. And thermal output isn't really the issue, you ram gas at a given pressure through an aperture, you get a certain output. The question still remains why there are different torch sizes, if the small more mobile ones are all anyone needs for anything, and why some builders use large ones, and others use small ones. And why different builders use different torch aperture sizes and nozzle types for the same thing.
