I used to work for a distributor that sold Park. One of my responsibilities was to handle the warranties. I have absolutely no idea how many PS2 or PS3 pumps I tore down, rebuilt, tore down again, rebuilt, replaced and then finally ran over with the company truck.
Yeah, it's a real piece of crap. I was surprised at the poor design and manufacturing. I got a free rebuild kit from Park, but it didn't work. I finally ran a bead of silicone caulk around the gasket at the base of the pump and that sorta worked until my Joe Blow Pro arrived. That's a much, much better pump, though I think I'll replace it with a Lezyne next time I get a few bucks ahead of the game. It's just such an elegant tool.
