Cannondale Cyclocross Disc

03' Cannondale Disc site page

My new Steed. Picked it up at the local pawn show for $7 bills out the door. Like new for an 03', even had the rubber injection nubs on the original tires! Rode it a few times on those, and bagged them for some street slicks (19c).

Why this bike? Price was right, and at my size of 6'4" and #260lbs I NEEDED stopping power. The disc's sold me! I have tried no other CX bikes. Originally thought the aluminum frame might be a bit harsh, but this Optico (sp?) stuff seems not so harsh as past aluminum frames. All the components work perfectly -- though at times I wish this thing had a granny gear as the hills are killing me. But that will change as I work down my FatA**.

So far so good. Added a meter, last owner already added a pump & cages. Moved the seat all the way back in the post clamps.

Why bother to write all this?

1) As a FatA** I thought this to be a great bike, and so far I have no complaints.
2) to recommend disc brakes for other FatA**'s like me.
3) To endorse what I believe to be an excellent product!
