I have been clipped by a few mirrors, but my almost death experience was when I was riding in the bike lane to go straight in multi-lane intersection with a turn lane on my left. An suv whipped into the bike lane / protected triangle to get into the turn lane. I locked my brakes, avoiding the suv and my brain was already entering its "holy crap that was close" recovery state when the u-haul trailer he was also towing came hurdling at me. To this day I cannot tell you what I did to avoid that trailer, I just applied a crank breaking amount of torque to the pedals and turned, somehow clearing the trailer by millimeters.

My most amusing hit-by-car incident was while I was walking on the side of the road and a lady hit me in the a** with her side mirror. It felt like a someone gave me a good whack, but all I could do was laugh because I completely took off her mirror (it was just hanging there by some wiring). Amazingly enough I didn't even get a bruise, which led to me boasting of my buns of steel.
