I have to put my vote in for the cheap Univega as well. As long as you (unlike our friendly neighborhood troll) can figure out friction shifting the performance difference will be practically nil. And you'll be able to get your money back out of that one; judging from my experience selling aluminum Treks, you may have a harder time with one of those.
