If you are going to run just a singlespeed, just get a normal road bike with 853 and run a chain tensioner or get an eccentric hub or bottom bracket for fixie. Sounds like a good deal to me. The biggest advantage that 853 has over these is the fact that the welds get stronger when built up. Almost all other steels get weaker at the welds. The Reynolds 631 and 725 will get you very close to the weight savings of 853. 853 is one of my personal favorite brand of steel tubes. I should change my handle to 853phile.
