Hi ...another option is to put your bike on the Lady Rose( or the newer one) boat in Port Alberni and catch the ride to Ucluelet... then ride to Tofino and back , in a couple of days catch boat back to Port Alberni...way safer than the road across the middle o
f the island...its a bit of a death run ....and probably will be for a long time to come as it is very narrow, no shoulders. big trucks, big rvs and crazy locals...
