i have a perfect example. he rides a bike but only to do errands. i told him to come join me and another neighbour who is a road nazi (now sadly departed) for our weekend rides, but he tells me he doesn't like going uphill and he would only come along if we go on a route where it is flat or downhill only. so i try to explain to him that that is impossible. what goes down must come up, so to speak. he doesn't believe me.
