Non-bike question....

I am looking into getting a new CD player as my old one is ancient (from 1984) and does not work well.

In looking around I noticed there is a newer form of CD called SACD (super-audio CD), that supposedly has better sound.

Has anyone ever heard an SACD and is there really an audible difference between a "regular" CD and a SACD??
