^Just be sure to heat the paraffin wax in a double boiler, not directly over the stove burner, or you are asking for a big fire if the wax overheats and ignites. I mention this because back in the days of home preserving, safe handling of sealing wax for the top of Mason jars used to be part of Home Ec. 101 that everyone learned. Not so "common sense" any more....
