Lemon Pledge has its uses. No, it's not a REPLACEMENT for regular wax -but it is a very quick and easy way to touch-up areas and it's the best dried-up wax-remover that doesn't leave the freshly unwaxed area totally waxless. It's great for helmets too. I don't buy the Pledge brand but buy the dollar store variety which is much cheaper and works just as well for the off-label purposes I put it to.
To say that product X should NEVER be used is as ignorant as saying that it should always be used. Just like WD-40 -which is a terrible lubricant. But I'd be loathe to say that it was worthless and should never be used in certain circumstances. It's a good degreaser for certain things and it's the bomb when you have bad/wet spark plug wires that are arcing and you need to get the POS car/truck/tractor started to get it home so you can work on it and put new wires on it...
Oh, and I'm also the owner of a Honda VFR. Best motorcycle for sport-touring that I've ever owned or ridden. Mine is a 1998 Generation 5 model.
