TRIKE RIDER CROSSES USA IN PTEROSAIL: A Cross-Country Adventure Sailing, a journey of over 3000 km in 46 days. That is what John MacTaggart has done with his Pterosail Trike System. The system incorporates sailing and cycling together; a combination of cycling, sailing and solar energy in one in which he can even store wind-generated energy in batteries .

Pic was taken from this article. Projected finish was in August, so he either ran really late or this is a really old news tidbit.
