I went with current product Mavic SSC calipers for my 'tout Mavic' build that has never come together. The reviews on Excel sports sold me as fellas were replacing Zero Gravity, Campy Skeleton, and Shiminoculture DA calipers with them. I'm still going to use Mavic SSC levers (they may be rebranded Moldolos, but with the dark anodization and the white Mavic branding, they are a beautiful).

For the Suntour Superbe Pro build I'm trying to source some Superbe Pro levers even though the other components were from the Superbe branded lever era, not quite the Superbe Pro lever era.

Obviously, I don't keep it era specific.

However, while the builds may be eclectic, they really make for a better looking and performing bike.
