That looks neat.
Older rider here but have to agree about the compact. I would never use a 53 but I have 50/34 and 12/27 cassette. That will get me up the steepest hills round here on the South Downs which are a Max of 800ft climb at around 12% with the basket at 16.
So get out and ruide the thing and get a report in quick.
