Well that's about 62 degrees warmer than my ride this morning.
I saw the funniest thing today. First of all, I was tracking an MTB on the trail. I saw tracks in the wet, so I wanted to catch up to it. I'm really glad I did. Took me about 4 miles but I caught him.
The guy was riding with what looked like a very heavy-duty rack on the back. Attached to the rack was a milk crate.
Strapped to the crate was some hefty wooden object made out of some 2x4s and plywood. It seemed secure but it was kind of leaning back and forth as he moved.
I have no idea what it was. On the bike bridge over the river, he was getting the thing within inches of the railings and completely freaking me out. Then he'd drift back toward the center. I didn't even attempt a pass until we got out into the residential streets where I had room.
