I was more so a noob than i am now a couple months back when i first started getting into the road bike / FG scene. After reading up on SB and then browsing this forum for hours and hours a day (yup, sometimes college can get a little boring) and just reading up on lots of topics i can say my knowledge of bikes has grown tremendosly. I love this forum and the people who post on it. I'd say one noob advice to the next is to search. Use the search option in the forum for questions you have and see if they have been covered before, its seriously a wealth of knowledge on here.

I have no idea if there are any 'books', but like others have said, and like i am saying now, browse this forum and read up!

Heck, if it wasnt for this forum i would be riding around on some bright green frame with yellow and pink wheeled clown looking tark bike. Its a great place, read up!

Oh, and this is kinda cool too!
