Who says? hahahahaha I've had a lot of fun on my bikes. Its even more fun when riding past somebody who is walking because they burned up their tire. I'd make a phone call or something for them, maybe even give them some duct tape, but there is only so much you can do for them if they are one of those grouchy Tom Cruise like fashion guerillas.

Some fixed bikes are cool as road bikes. I remember a guy at one 40mile race in TX who rolled along on a 20" BMX with a fixed hub, riser bars, and a long seatpost. He didn't even sit down much. Oh yeah, he had v-brakes too. For some reason, ride event rules stipulated that all bikes have brakes. Can't think of why. (sarcasm) He didn't worry about "roadies vs fixies" and he was all decked out in shrinkra like the rest of us.

I think that bike was what got me interested in the Mini Velo bikes. I still want a mini velo! (weird road bike with 20" wheels, looks like fun)
