Did you read the OP? There is a difference between someone striking up a conversation out of genuine curiosity and someone passive aggressively dumping their hatred of cyclists on you under the guise of interest. I can't speak for everyone in this thread but this is how I understood it.
It wasn't a reply to the OP, it was a reply to someone else saying how they did react in the store to a very innocent remark. I thought that would have inferred based on whom I was quoting, but sorry if it was not.
