1. What type of bikes do 50+ folks ride? Lemond Maillot Jaune(2005) - Dura Ace/Ultegra; Lemond Buenos Aries (2006) - Dura Ace/Ultegra; Torelli Countach (2006) - Ultegra; Nishiki Semi-Pro (1973, bought new) with the usual Sugino, Diacomp, Suntour components typical of the era.
2. Do you take any special supplements/vitamins/minerals as you have grown older? Multivitamin plus a supplement of magnesium and calcium tablets to prevent cramping (works pretty well).
3. How much do you feel you have "slowed down" if any? Just started 3 years ago and I've gotten faster each year.
4. How long have you been biking? New, around a while, biked all your life? 3 years, after a layoff of 25, and even back then it wasn't much.
5. What type of biking do you do? Long rides, touring, short rec rides: My training is focused on road racing, which for CAT 5 and the over 55 races around New England means mostly races of 25 miles or less. Most rides are 25 to 50 miles, longest is 74 miles; hardest are Sat morning group rides when outdoors and Spinervals sessions or Real Axiom video courses indoors.
6. How often do you bike? Your approximate annual mileage? Just about every day. About 8600 miles in 2010
